Analyst – Business Development

Position Objective

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and monthly update of Masan High-Tech Materials valuation models
  • Business Modelling (Integrated financial statements, financial ratios analysis, sensitivities and scenarios analysis) to evaluate the merger and acquisition targets
  • Business modelling for valuation of organic/inorganic expansion opportunities in association with internal and external stakeholders
  • Creation of business models for valuation of group entities for on-shore/off-shore financing, re-financing, management of existing debt covenants and credit rating agencies
  • Primary and secondary research for collection of required information for deal origination and evaluation
  • Creation of pitch-books for deal proposals presentation to internal and external group of investors
  • Set-up of virtual data room for potential investors and conduct due-diligence on M&A targets under consideration
  • Conduct of Financial and Tax due-diligences for M&A deals
  • Working with internal and external subject matter experts, investment bankers, finance and legal services providers, auditors and PE players
  • Working on Annual and Five Years Business Development Vision and Plan

We are looking for qualified and driven individuals who have

  • Graduate/Post-graduate in finance/banking/economics with 2-3 years’ experience with the credit department of a corporate bank/investment bank/corporate strategy/business development/equity research/private equity/fund house. Exposure in natural resources will be a plus
  • Should be an expert in creating detailed financial models and corporate and deal presentations
  • Sound judgment, particularly in valuation matters, with strong analytical skills
  • Well versed with MS Office tools (Excel, Power-point, Word) and Bloomberg Terminal
  • Should have excellent communication and presentation skills (English)
  • Should have experience in development of detailed financial models for M&A deals, on-shore and off-shore financing, and business valuation
