IT Infrastructure Lead

Position Objective

Broad accountability for managing IT services in relation to infrastructure technology, providing due diligence and technical governance across the infrastructure technology domain, including leadership and coordination of activities and resources within the domain.

The primary purpose of the role is to support delivery of local and global IT infrastructure uplift and modernization projects through architecture activities and ongoing management of infrastructure technologies :

Design and document and lead implementation of high level architecture indicating all systems and interfaces. This includes cloud and on premise infrastructure solutions.
The role will work closely with customers, project teams and other teams to ensure that a highly resilient, cost effective and stable technical infrastructure is in place to support the organization’s business processes. The role will manage relevant associated budget, provide technical knowledge and leadership in the development, implementation, maintenance and enhancement of the efficiency of infrastructure and technology assets and manage the integrity of these assets, including clear identification of organizational risks (i.e. security, disaster) with relevant mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Develop Infrastructure solutions and lead the implementation of IT infrastructure projects aligned to the IT Strategy and architecture principles
  • Manages day-to-day IT operation of infrastructure including directing internal staff and technology partners for the successful operation and adequate security of:
  • Develop Solution proposals to evidence requirements, benefit and solution options for Infrastructure related projects.
  • Ensure implementation of defined processes and procedures, tools and techniques for monitoring and managing the performance of information systems and services.
  • Maintain and enhance the security and efficiency of the IT infrastructure and technology assets and manage integrity of these assets.
  • Ensure the continued availability of IT services to expected service and security levels
  • Maintain and validate business continuity, disaster recovery, backup and recovery solutions and plans.
  • Ensure expenditure is within agreed budget.
  • Monitor and maintain network and IT infrastructure, prioritize and resolve (escalating where necessary) system outages and/or risk.
  • Manage accurate logging of data to enable monthly analysis and reporting.
  • Manage information security, sensitive and confidential data/information.
  • Liaise with vendors/suppliers (to deliver and resolve projects/infrastructure problems).
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center
  • Ensure that all Infrastructure system and operating documentation is maintained including administration and management manuals and standard operating procedures.

We are looking for qualified and driven individuals who have

Experience, skill, knowledge

  • University graduation, major in IT
  • > 6 years’ experience in infrastructure and operations, service and project management.
  • Experience leading the design, implementation and development IT infrastructure projects, and transition into ongoing operations management.
  • Communicate complex designs efficiently to senior level stakeholders (Solution Proposals).
  • Experience with IT infrastructure integrated across data centres, multiple cloud providers and SaaS with internal and external delivery partners.
  • Experienced leader of technology partners and team members.
  • Experience in the successful operations and management of:
  • Infrastructure Services, on premise and cloud for service/storage compute platforms
  • End user compute services
  • Security Operations
  • Service Management processes
  • Datacentre and compute platforms (i.e. server/cloud)
  • Telecommunications and mobility services
  • ITIL certification preferred
