E&I Projects Engineer
JOB SUMMARY
The E&I projects engineer is responsible for providing E&I engineering support for the NPMC project team and the design costing and planning of MOC initiated projects. They will be a member of the maintenance Electrical Engineering group and will be required to work closely with suppliers and all NPMC departments.
Main Duties
- Understand and apply the Nui Phao E&I design specifications.
- Provides E&I engineering support for improvement projects with the NPMC project team.
- Ensures the supplier is issued with the correct specifications and understand the project requirements.
- Liaises with the suppliers and follow up with their technical queries.
- Reviews submissions from the suppliers and ensure that the proposals comply with the specific actions supplied and project requirements.
- Actively monitor the contractor’s activities and submittals to ensure that they meet the schedule and budget demands
- Represent NPMC and attend Factory Acceptance Tests as required.
- Coordinate site acceptance tests of electrical and automation hardware and systems.
- and or arrange commissioning documentation.
- Co-ordination and supervision of E & I workers during construction and commissioning activities.
- Investigate and select suitable E&I hardware for in house projects.
- Participates in constructability and hazop reviews.
- Design, draft, cost and plan E&I projects raised through the MOC process.
- Arranges for the mandatory periodic testing of HV/LV protection devices and other electrical equipment. Analyses test results and implement corrective actions as required.
Job Requirements
- University graduation or above, major in electrical.
- Knowledge about international standards such as IEC, NEC, AS/NZS …
- Knowledge about Vietnamese standards as TCVN.
- Engineering, technical knowledge.
- Understanding engineering design/drawings.
- Use software for design as AutoCAD.
- Good experience in engineering.
- Good mineral processing knowledge.
