Drilling operator – Mining

MAIN DUTIES

• Read and analyze drilling plans to determine the location, dimensions, depth, and technical requirements of drill holes.
• Operate the drilling machine in accordance with technical procedures and ensure compliance with required operating parameters.
• Monitor and inspect drill hole quality during operation, promptly identify any deviations or issues, and make necessary adjustments.
• Identify and troubleshoot common drilling machine problems (e.g., worn drill bits, stuck cuttings, machine vibration, etc.) to ensure work progress and safety.
• Perform regular and periodic maintenance of the drilling machine in accordance with regulations, including cleaning, greasing, and inspecting key components.
• Strictly comply with occupational health and safety regulations and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the work process.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Mining Engineer.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school education or above.
• A drilling machine operator certificate (or equivalent equipment operation certificate) is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of the operating principles of drilling machines and other similar equipment.
• Extensive experience in mining operations.
• Candidates with at least 1–2 years of experience operating EPIROC hydraulic rock drills are preferred.
• Good physical health.
