Engineer – E&I Projects

MAIN DUTIES

• Understand and apply the Nui Phao E&I design specifications.
• Provide E&I engineering support for improvement projects with the NPMC project team.
• Ensure the supplier is issued with the correct specifications and understands the project requirements.
• Liaise with the suppliers and follow up with their technical queries.
• Review submissions from the suppliers and ensure that the proposals comply with the specifications supplied and project requirements.
• Actively monitor the contractor’s activities and submittals to ensure that they meet the schedule and budget demands.
• Represent NPMC and attend Factory Acceptance Tests as required.
• Coordinate site acceptance tests of electrical and automation hardware and systems.
• Prepare and/or arrange commissioning documentation.
• Coordinate and supervise E&I workers during construction and commissioning activities.
• Investigate and select suitable E&I hardware for in-house projects.
• Participate in constructability and HAZOP reviews.
• Design, draft, cost and plan E&I projects raised through the MOC process.
• Arrange for the mandatory periodic testing of HV/LV protection devices and other electrical equipment.
• Analyze test results and implement corrective actions as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• University degree or above, majoring in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of international standards such as IEC, NEC, AS/NZS, etc.
• Knowledge of Vietnamese standards such as TCVN.
• Engineering and technical knowledge. Understanding of engineering design/drawings.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD.
• Good engineering experience.
• Good knowledge of mineral processing.
