Officer – Safety (Mining & Geology Department)

MAIN DUTIES

  • Identify hazards conduct regularly safety audits and advise on corrective actions and preventive countermeasures.
  • Co-operate with other departments’ staffs and contractor to improve status of safety compliance and increase Company’s safety culture.
  • Assist and participate in safety meetings and incident investigation.
  • Prepare regular reports and statistics on safety performance.
  • Support in process of Risk Assessment/ Register and tracking.
  • Prepare safety training materials and conduct safety training courses to all employees/ contractors.
  • Prepare safety related guideline, standards, procedure, checklist and forms as per requirements of system and instruction of Safety Supervisor/ Superintendent.
  • Assist Safety Superintendent to make a plan and training for NMPC employee to comply with Vietnam legal.
  • Evaluate status of legal compliance in field of safety and industrial hygiene, propose and implement corrective and preventive actions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in mining or Labor Safety Training and Inspection; technical or engineering field.
  • Certified OHSAS 18001/ISO45001:2018 is a plus.

Competency and other requirements

  • years’ experience as same roles.
  • Good understanding of safety management principles.
  • Good understandings of legal requirements in field of Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene.
  • Basic understandings of building and compliance with Safety Management System such as OHSAS 18001:2007 or ISO 45001:2018.
  • Ability to interact with various cultures and all levels in a multinational environment.
  • Good training and communication skills.
  • Problem solving approach.
  • Interpersonal and Communication skills.
  • Excellent physical health status.
  • Building relations and team -work.
