R&D Leader

JOB SUMMARY

The Process Lead will be responsible for:

  • Lead development projects as assigned by R&D manager
  • Apply best practices within the industry for development projects and design of processes
  • Oversee pilot scale and plant trials.
  • Maximizing process efficiency and stability by data analysis, optimization and development of technical recommendation.
  • Ensuring competitiveness and innovation of products and processes from a technological and design standpoint.
  • Ensure developed knowledge is shared, accessible, and transferable within the group, and other internal stakeholders.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Plan, execute and manage project.
  • Implement development projects, including co-development with other departments.
  • Incorporates relevant design and experience in design/optimization projects.
  • Supervise, manage and assign work to process engineers and technician.
  • Support technical and manufacturing personnel in the transfer, optimization, scale-up, and troubleshooting of new production methods and SOPs
  • Maintain detailed, accurate, legible records of all experiments, calculation and trials.
  • Manage all instruments and equipment in excellent condition, keep all work areas neat and clean, and follow all safety procedures without exception.
  • Actively searches for best-in-class technologies among competitors and develops innovation roadmap.
  • Encourages creativity in the R&D team.
  • Develops departmental members, providing the correct application of tools and policies on training, and career path.
  • Support managing the daily operation of the R&D department.
  • Support maintaining statutory reporting for internal/external stake holder
  • Regular communication with other R&D business units.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree qualified in Science/Engineering with additional post graduate studies highly regarded
  • Experienced working with chemical processes (Hydrometallurgical, Crystallization, calcination, and physical handling process).
  • Experienced in designing of processes, process optimization, process evaluation/calculation, and transferring lab-scale experiment into plant trial.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • At least 2 years of experience in heavy industry or chemical manufacturing industry is compulsory.
  • Experience in digital data analysis.
  • Experience in heavy metal processing and in innovation is highly appreciated.
  • Extensive knowledge in equipment, instruments, designing tools as PFD, P&IDs, specifications…
  • Strong reporting and computer skills, fluent in MS package.
  • Experience in simulation software is an advantage.
  • Independent and self initiator, capable of working with minimal supervision.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE

  • Job location: Thai Nguyen
  • Working time: At 8:00-17:00 from Monday – Friday.
