Nui Phao Honors Veterans and Policy Beneficiary Families Through Meaningful Care

Nui Phao Mining Company has joined hands with local authorities of An Khanh, Phu Lac and Dai Phuc communes to provide free healthcare services, present gifts and pay tribute to veterans, national contributors and policy beneficiary families.

Held to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of Vietnam’s War Invalids and Martyrs Day (27 July 1974 – 27 July 2026), the initiative extends far beyond symbolic gestures. By bringing professional healthcare services directly to those who serve the nation – especially elderly people and those with limited mobility – the program ensures that gratitude is expressed through meaningful action and compassionate care.

On the 16 and 20 July, doctors from Nui Phao’s Medical Department worked alongside healthcare staff from An Khanh and Phu Lac Commune Health Stations to provide free health check-ups, screening ultrasounds and medical consultations for nearly 100 veterans, national contributors and their family members.

To enhance the quality of care, Nui Phao’s medical team brought the Company’s portable ultrasound system, enabling comprehensive examinations throughout the program. Ultrasound screenings were personally conducted and interpreted by Dr. Ngo Anh Tuan (HSE), and experienced physician specializing in diagnostic imaging, ensuring each participant received timely, accurate and personalized medical advice.

One of the program’s most meaningful features was its commitment to bring healthcare directly to those who need it most. Recognizing that some elderly veterans and policy beneficiaries were unable to travel to the healthcare stations, Nui Phao’s Clinic team, together with representatives from several Company departments, visited 10 policy beneficiary households to provide medical care in their own homes.

These home visits included thyroid and abdominal ultrasound examinations, general health assessments and one-on-one consultations with doctors. By bringing professional healthcare directly to residents, Nui Phao Mining ensured that distance and mobility challenges did not prevent those who had served the nation from receiving quality medical care. 

Mr. Ngo The Khuyen from Phu Lac Commune, who was unable to attend the centralized health screening after suffering a stroke, shared his appreciation: “Since my stroke, my health has been too weak for me to travel to the health station. I was deeply touched that Nui Phao’s staff and doctors came all the way to my home. Thank you for remembering people like me and making sure we can still receive healthcare without leaving our homes.” 

Alongside the health screening activities, Nui Phao presented more than 240 gift packages containing health-support products and daily necessities, with a total value of nearly VND 38 million, to veterans and policy beneficiary families across the three communes. Each gift represented the Company’s heartfelt gratitude and respect for the generations whose sacrifices and contributions helped safeguard the nation’s independence and support its development.

This year’s War Invalids and Martyrs Day activities continue Nui Phao’s long-standing commitment to Vietnam’s tradition of “Đền ơn đáp nghĩa”—honoring those who have served the nation through meaningful acts of gratitude. They also reflect the Company’s broader commitment to creating lasting value for local communities through practical, sustainable initiatives that respond to real community needs.

Previously in June 2026, Nui Phao Mining donated a VND 150 million Doppler Z5 Color Ultrasound System to the Dai Phuc Commune Health Station to strengthen grassroots healthcare services. The equipment is now being used to provide free health screenings for local residents, with priority given to elderly people and families who have made significant contributions to the nation.
