Sustainable development business in Vietnam 2021

With its tremendous efforts in corporate governance, environmental protection, human resources, community, social responsibility, Masan High-Tech Materials has been honored among Vietnam’s Top 100 sustainable development business in 2021.

On the morning of December 9^th, at the presence of heads of state, Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the announcement and honoring Ceremony of sustainable businesses in 2021 was held at Sheraton Hanoi Hotel.

The evaluation and announcement program of sustainable businesses in Vietnam (also known as the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) Program) has marked its own presence and certain influence amongst the domestic business community. At the 6^th year of its implementation, despite the challenges from COVID-19 pandemic, the CSI 2021 Program still recorded numerous business profiles from various fields, regardless of their scale and economic sectors. This year, the nominees were evaluated based on a set of CSI indicators in 2021 which was abridged against 2020, consisting of 119 indicators in 4 fields: Sustainability Index; Governance Index; Environment Index and Employment – Society Index, to be classified into 3 levels of business sizes from basic to advanced.

In order to receive high appraisal from the Organization Board, Masan High-Tech Materials had to fully meet all the stringent selection criteria based on the Corporate Sustainability Index. The award was a well-deserved recognition by regulatory authorities for the comprehensive development over the past years of Masan High-Tech Materials. The Company has always attached great importance to implementing the sustainable development strategy and integrating the business growth targets with the added values for the benefit of the community while minimizing the environmental impact. Simultaneously, the Company has remained steadfast in implementing its sustainable economic growth targets and planning its sustainable strategies in alignment with the National Sustainable Development Program as well as with the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

With its efforts and achievements in 2021, Masan High-Tech Materials has received many awards from prestigious organizations, namely: Top 50 Vietnam The Best; Top 100 Vietnam Excellent Brands; Top 500 Largest Enterprises in Vietnam (VNR500); Top 500 Fastest Growing Enterprises in Vietnam (FAST500), Enterprise for Employees etc.
