Masan Tungsten Company Achieves the 2026 RMAP-Conformant Status

Jul 17, 2026

On July 16, 2026, Masan Tungsten Company (MTC) officially passed the 2026 Responsible Minerals Assurance Process assessment by the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), marking its ninth consecutive year of being recognized as an RMAP-conformant refinery. This achievement demonstrates MTC’s continued ability to meet international standards in tungsten supply chain management, providing a strong foundation for Masan High-Tech Materials’s (MSR) sustainable growth strategy.

RMAP is one of the world’s leading assessment programs for responsible mineral supply chains, developed by the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI). It establishes rigorous requirements for management systems, raw material traceability, supplier due diligence, and risk management to help ensure minerals are sourced and processed responsibly.

This achievement was made possible through the strong collaboration between the MTC team and the Tungsten Procurement & Supply Chain Compliance team, who worked proactively throughout the assessment process to prepare documentation, validate data, and provide comprehensive evidence. The independent assessment confirmed that MTC fully meets all certification requirements.

Maintaining RMAP-conformance for nearly a decade reinforces MTC’s position among tungsten processing facilities operating to international standards. It reflects the MTC plant’s long-standing commitment to transparency, operational excellence, disciplined compliance, and the integration of ESG principles throughout its value chain, from responsible sourcing to finished products.

As one of Masan Group’s strategic pillars, MSR’s tungsten business continues to strengthen its competitiveness through the sustained compliance with RMAP standards. This enhances customer confidence, expands access to global markets, and reinforces MSR’s position as a trusted, responsible, and sustainable tungsten supplier of tungsten materials for critical industries globally.
