Nui Phao brings Mid-Autumn festivities to children across Thai Nguyen

This Mid-Autumn Festival, Nui Phao Mining Company brought festive cheer to children and vulnerable community members across Thai Nguyen through a series of community initiatives under the theme “Bringing the Moon Festival Home”. With a total budget of over VND 80 million, the program brought the joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival to 400 children, including children with disabilities and those facing difficult circumstances, while creating opportunities for MHT family and communities to celebrate together.

Joining Hands for a Warm Mid-Autumn Season

On the afternoon of September 25, Nui Phao visited the Thai Nguyen Social Work and Protection Center, presenting 70 boxes of mooncakes, 80 lanterns, and 70 gift packages to orphans, children with disabilities, and elderly residents at the center.

The Company also contributed VND 15 million toward the organisation of the celebration and mobilized employee volunteers to work alongside the center’s staff. Together, they organized cultural performances, lantern parades and traditional lion dances, creating a lively and festive atmosphere for all participants. Beyond the gifts, the celebration provided an opportunity for children, people with disabilities and elderly residents to connect, share memorable moments and enjoy the spirit of togetherness that defines the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Bringing the Festival Closer to Local Communities

Earlier, on September 22, Nui Phao partnered with the Cultural and Social Affairs Divisions of An Khanh, Phu Lac and Dai Phuc communes to distribute 130 boxes of mooncakes and 320 lanterns to 115 children with disabilities and disadvantaged children. The Company also provided an additional VND 15 million to aid local authorities in organizing festivities, ranging from commune-wide celebrations to smaller gatherings in local villages.

The festivities featured lantern parade competitions, traditional five-fruit tray decorations and creative mascot-making activities. Through colorful lanterns, festive drumbeats and joyful family gatherings, the “Bringing the Moon Festival Home” initiative brought the traditions of the Mid-Autumn Festival closer to local children, giving them the opportunity to to fully experience the warmth of Mid-Autumn celebrations with loved ones and friends.

Supporting Better Learning Experience

Extending its community support beyond the festivities, Nui Phao presented two 65-inch Samsung televisions, valued at nearly VND 22 million, to La Bang Kindergarten’s Campus No. 2 in La Bang Commune, Thai Nguyen Province, on September 24.

La Bang Kindergarten currently serves 240 children, including 147 from ethnic minority communities, accounting for more than 61% of its enrollment. Addressing the school’s need for additional teaching equipment, the televisions will enable teachers to incorporate more visual learning materials into their lessons, creating a more engaging classroom environment. During the 2026–2027 academic year, the equipment will directly benefit 48 children across two classes while continuing to improve learning conditions for future generations of pupils.

Through these initiatives, Nui Phao is extending its community support beyond individual events to address practical local needs — from creating meaningful childhood memories to improving educational opportunities for the next generation.
