Children’s painting spreads the message of preventing human trafficking

50 students from Phuc Linh Primary and Middle School (Dai Tu – Thai Nguyen) recently immersed in a painting contest on the theme “Preventing Human Trafficking and Safe Migration”, creating together engaging moments. The program was jointly organized by Nui Phao Mining and Tea Talk Vietnam.

The painting contest on the theme “Preventing human trafficking and safe migration” is an activity in the framework of “From backstage to the future” project, sponsored by the British Council and the European Union. This marks the first time the competition held in Thai Nguyen province to help students understand the problems of human trafficking and unsafe migration, while encouraging creativity in delivering this message through painting.

After 1 hour and 30 minutes of passionate creation, 50 talented young artists produced 50 creative artworks conveying meaningful messages on the issues of human trafficking and unsafe migration. All 50 entries complied with contest rules and criteria. The paintings described realistic situations: the fraudulent behavior of human traffickers; children being lured by bad people; tricks promising “easy work – high pay”…

The judging panel selected the top 9 outstanding paintings to award, including 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize, 4 Encouragement Prizes, and 2 Favorite Prizes. Students’ rhetoric on the meaning and message of their artwork has also made this contest special. This is precisely the goal of Organizing Team: to enhance students’ presentation and rhetoric skills while boosting their confidence, agility, and ability to articulate their understanding of human trafficking issues.

All students participating in the program received gifts from Organizing Team, such as pretty boxes of acrylic paint or practical water containers, creating an atmosphere of playful learning. Through creative activities, Nui Phao Mining aims to raise students’ and teachers’ awareness of the prevention of human trafficking, to detect and report this type of crime.
