Nui Phao Mining donates 500 trash bins for a greener Hung Son town
On May 8, Nui Phao Mining coordinated with the People’s Committee of Hung Son Town to donate 500 trash bins and provide training on waste segregation at source for over 200 households in the area. The initiative supports the town’s efforts to maintain its status as a civilized urban area, while promoting a green, clean, and beautiful lifestyle that links sustainable development with environmental protection.

The entire batch of 500 bins, valued at VND 100 million and sponsored by Nui Phao Company, will be distributed to nine residential groups: An Long, Cau Thanh 1, Cau Thanh 2, Cho 1, Cho 2, Tan Son, Dinh, Son Tap, and Dong Trung. These new trash bins will replace makeshift waste containers previously used by residents – such as plastic bags, paint cans, and styrofoam boxes – which did not meet hygiene or urban aesthetic standards. Hung Son residents were delighted to receive the new bins, which not only make daily life more convenient but also help keep the town clean and orderly.
Alongside the donation, Nui Phao staff directly engaged with residents to raise awareness and provide instructions on how to properly sort waste at source. This helps households understand how to collect, compost organic waste, and recycle inorganic waste, reducing treatment costs and minimizing environmental impact.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hao, Vice Chairwoman of the Hung Son Town People’s Committee, stated:
“We recognize and highly appreciate Nui Phao Company’s ongoing connection and partnership with Hung Son in environmental protection activities. Practical efforts such as donating trash bins and offering waste-sorting training have significantly contributed to raising community awareness, protecting the living environment, and maintaining the civilized urban standards our town strives to uphold and enhance.”
This donation also supports the local government in effectively implementing the plan to build model streets and improve solid waste management for 2025. It is a meaningful step toward raising public awareness and encouraging responsible, eco-friendly living habits at the grassroots level.
Hung Son is one of the areas affected by Nui Phao’s operations and is home to two resettlement zones: Nam Song Cong and Hung Son 3. These residential areas feature modern and well-invested infrastructure, including churches, cultural houses, and wastewater treatment facilities.
